Chief Administrative Officer Divine Mercy University STERLING, VA Apply Now on Partner Site The Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) reports to the President and has responsibility for the effective leadership and administration of the Universitys operations, finance and accounting. Responsibilitiesand reporting lines include accounting, finance and budgeting, human resources, marketing and enrollment, technology, online course development and maintenance, buildings & grounds, and legal. As a small institution with constrained resources, the Chief Administrative Officer must be able to lead and execute the essential administrative activities of the University. The College & President A rapidly expanding academic institution on the cutting edge of online educational delivery, Divine Mercy University (DMU) is a Catholic graduate school of psychology and counseling, founded in 1999 as the Institute for the Psychological Sciences. The University is dedicated to the scientific study of psychology and related fields with a Catholic understanding of the person, marriage, and the family. Over the years DMU has become a leader for preparing Catholic and Christian mental health professionals. Charles Sikorsky, LC, JD was appointed the 3rd President of Divine Mercy University in 2007 (then known as the Institute for the Psychological Sciences). During his 12 years as President, enrollment in degree programs has grown over 800%. Fr. Charles has overseen several successful fundraising campaigns, the development of DMUs two new online degree programs, the opening of the School of Counseling, successful accreditation processes with SACS and APA, and the purchase and development of the permanent campus, which opened in July, 2019. A graduate of the Johns Hopkins University and the University of Maryland School of Law, he practiced law for two years before joining the Legionaries of Christ in 1992 in order to become a Catholic priest. Prior to coming to DMU, he worked for four years in South America, overseeing the administration of a network of educational institutions in Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia and Venezuela, and he worked for nine years in Rome, overseeing the development and maintenance of educational and non-profit legal structures in over 20 countries.
