The Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) reports to the President and has responsibility for the effective leadership and administration of the Universitys operations, finance and accounting. Responsibilitiesand reporting lines include accounting, finance and budgeting, human resources, marketing and enrollment, technology, online course development and maintenance, buildings & grounds, and legal. As a small institution with constrained resources, the Chief Administrative Officer must be able to lead and execute the essential administrative activities of the University. Professional Qualifications Desired qualifications include demonstrated experience in human resources management, financial management, information technology and operations, preferably achieved in higher education.; Demonstrated cross functional processleadership and close collaboration with startup/early stage/pioneering executive team.Creativity and flexibility and the ability to stimulate innovative thinking among a diverse community of faculty, staff and students; a desire to engage deeply in the community life of students, faculty, and staff; and a passion for and commitment to the faithfully Catholic mission of the University. Competitive candidates will have an advanced degree, and five or more years of professional experience. Specific Duties include: Membership in the Presidents Cabinet;Being present on campus five days per week;Supporting the President in strategic analysis and planning, including advising the President on the operational and fiscal impact of planning alternatives;Leading continuous improvement initiatives across the enterpriseEffective staff supervision, oversight and performance measurementProviding oversight and stewardship of fiscal, human, budgetary and facilities resources;Short and long term strategic financial planning, including the annual budgeting process, required to meet the Universitys objectives;Designing and implementing procedures which result in timely and accurate financial reporting;Managing facilities use and their development including master and sustainability planning, public safety, transportation and parking;andPerform other related duties as requested by the President. The College & President A rapidly expanding academic institution on the cutting edge of online educational delivery, Divine Mercy University (DMU) is a Catholic graduate school of psychology and counseling, founded in 1999 as the Institute for the Psychological Sciences. The University is dedicated to the scientific study of psychology and related fields with a Catholic understanding of the person, marriage, and the family. Over the years DMU has become a leader for preparing Catholic and Christian mental health professionals. The University offers Master of Science (M.S.) and Doctoral (Psy.D.) degrees in Clinical Psychology, an online Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Psychology and an online Master of Science (M.S.) in Counseling.Additionally, it offers online certificate programs, including a Spiritual Directors Certificate. DMU currently enrolls approximately 350 post-graduate students and 60 certificate seeking students. It has approximately 45 full time faculty and staff.In addition to its degree and certificate programs, the University operates an onsite mental health training clinic serving hundreds of clients per year and provides continuing education training through its Center for Trauma and Resiliency Studies. Charles Sikorsky, LC, JD was appointed the 3rd President of Divine Mercy University in 2007 (then known as the Institute for the Psychological Sciences). During his 12 years as President, enrollment in degree programs has grown over 800%. Fr. Charles has overseen several successful fundraising campaigns, the development of DMUs two new online degree programs, the opening of the School of Counseling, successful accreditation processes with SACS and APA, and the purchase and development of the permanent campus, which opened in July, 2019. A graduate of the Johns Hopkins University and the University of Maryland School of Law, he practiced law for two years before joining the Legionaries of Christ in 1992 in order to become a Catholic priest. Prior to coming to DMU, he worked for four years in South America, overseeing the administration of a network of educational institutions in Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia and Venezuela, and he worked for nine years in Rome, overseeing the development and maintenance of educational and non-profit legal structures in over 20 countries.
